1. Who we are

PartWiz ("we", "our", "us") operates the website at partwiz.app and provides a spare parts data enrichment API. For questions about this policy, contact us at contact@partwiz.app.

2. What data we collect

Account and contact data. When you sign up or contact us, we collect your email address and any information you voluntarily provide (name, company, use case).

API usage data. We log API requests including timestamps, part numbers queried, response codes, and IP addresses. This data is used to operate the service, enforce rate limits, and detect abuse.

Website analytics. We collect anonymised analytics about page views and traffic sources to understand how our website is used. No cross-site tracking or personal identifiers are used.

3. How we use your data

We use your data to: deliver and improve the PartWiz service; respond to enquiries and support requests; send transactional emails (account confirmation, plan updates); and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your data to third parties.

4. Legal basis (GDPR)

Where GDPR applies, we process your personal data on the following bases: contract (to provide the service you signed up for); legitimate interests (security, fraud prevention, improving the service); and consent (marketing communications, which you may withdraw at any time).

5. Data retention

We retain account data for as long as your account is active and for up to 24 months after closure. API logs are retained for 90 days. You may request deletion at any time by emailing contact@partwiz.app.

6. Third-party services

We use the following sub-processors to operate PartWiz: Vercel (hosting, EU/US); Resend (transactional email, US). Each operates under its own privacy policy and data processing agreement. We do not share your data with any other third parties.

7. Your rights

You have the right to access, correct, export, or delete your personal data. To exercise any right, email contact@partwiz.app. We will respond within 30 days. If you are in the EEA, you may also lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

8. Cookies

We use only functional cookies necessary to operate the website. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies. No cookie consent banner is required because we do not set non-essential cookies.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of PartWiz after a change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
